Hope

Just a quick thought, I guess the path towards individual state freedom is been strengthened after the news of Castro stepping down as President of Cuba and Musharraf's party accepting defeat in Pakistan.

Taxi Musings.

It seems that fear is loathing around, silkening and sulking withing every stranger. We're afraid to just say hi, we're afraid to make a connection, we're afraid to acknowledge another existence. Why have we come to that, where are we going as a society that is not sociable. If people only talk to those in their network, how will anybody get a different view or even find someone totally strange that shares something in common?

Mortality/Morality

I wonder what the state of our morality as the increase in cruelty is unexplained; there has been another shooting, this time at NIU . Maybe its that bad news are being filtered higher, but still, killing and hurting at such a young age seems unfounded. Are these all copycats? Is the state of psychiatry even useful... there was a gruesome murder of a psychiatrist in Brooklyn yesterday. Is the increase in detached violence (eg. movies, videogames and tv shows) partly or fully to blame? However much I oppose censorship, we as a society have to start questioning why the increase in the random act of violent crime is occurring, seemingly more often in our age.

Eros, Cupid, Valentine, confusion

How...well, sad. Me: at least SAD as an acronym. what does Valentine have? A executed "pagen" and massacare on Clark St. (In Lincoln Park... how so appropriate)? I'll take the benign SAD over historical baggage and conflicting nature of Valentine (aka Cupid, Eros, etc.). Also, I openly and vehemently dislike Hallmark to a point that crossing the fiery Styx in a creaky rowboat is a walk in the park. Secretly, I admire Hallmark for their genius in creating an de facto holiday. I wish I could come up with something like and the world pay me for a chance of feeling something that I guess isn't there everyday (after brainwa...

random thought

I was an outcast before I found solitude in people and friendships.

Heretic liars

Take us down swimming in metaphorical hate confusion ringing in allusions. The glaciers stoic, patience.

...But to rejoice in splendour...

I was sitting around and finally turned on the TV. This itself is a revelation, because up until yesterday, I had not watched more than a hour of TV since Dec. 23 (After coming back from my trip to India.) It wasn't a new years resolution or anything, I just didn't want to "participate" in wasting my time watching really nothing on. If the TV was ever on, it was to watch some movies I had to catch up on, such as the Motorcycle Diaries and Twilight Samurai . The Fox Movies network (or something like it) was playing a back to back to back Romeo + Juliet (which I caught half of the second set and the first half of the third set). The is the 1996 version, which is very stylized and exuberant. I hardly remember Romeo + Juliet, or even reading the play in High School, but watching it yesterday and processing the lines was actually fun. The best line, and no wonder society calls the true romantic Romeo: Rom. Then move not while my prayer's effect I take. Thus...

Never escape from microsoft

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo (which owns flickr and which is the best photo sharing website!!!) I CAN'T ESCAPE MICROSOFT!!!! Oh, so yes, today microsoft made a unsoliciated offer to Yahoo's board stating it wanted to buy the company for 44 Billion dollars. BIllion. If Yahoo rejects it, Microsoft is willing to go hostile on acquiring the company, hostile meaning using votes in the shareholder meeting to get their way. (not hostile in throwing punches in a boardroom... though, if this was a century ago, that's what it might have entailed). grrr. (Its going to be the last three standing in the browser/OS wars... Google, Apple and Microsoft.)
