The Fox Movies network (or something like it) was playing a back to back to back Romeo + Juliet (which I caught half of the second set and the first half of the third set). The is the 1996 version, which is very stylized and exuberant.
I hardly remember Romeo + Juliet, or even reading the play in High School, but watching it yesterday and processing the lines was actually fun. The best line, and no wonder society calls the true romantic Romeo:
Rom. Then move not while my prayer's effect I take.
Thus from my lips, by thine my sin is purg'd. [Kisses her.]
Jul. Then have my lips the sin that they have took.
Rom. Sin from my lips? O trespass sweetly urg'd!
Give me my sin again. [Kisses her.]

I also realized that we never realize the opportunity of greatness or appreciate art in all its form while we were younger, at least I didn't. I also don't recall this movie even though I watched it during my teen years. I can't believe it didn't leave an impression/memory on me.
